Abstract

The problems of climate change and global warming are pushing electricity providers to switch to using renewable energy that is clean and eco friendly. However, the limitations of stable renewable energy sources make variable renewable energy (VRE) a viable solution. VRE on a system will affect the stability of the system, therefore it is necessary to analyze the calculation of the maximum value of VRE capacity that can be connected to a system and maintain system stability. To calculate the maximum value of a VRE that can be connected to the system is based on the frequency stability of the power system stiffness.
